Hello, and welcome to my resource shop. I aim to create original resources for KS3, GCSE and AS/A2. I also aim to provide resources on the less obvious, mainstream topics and bring in elements of the LNF. I have 20 years experience as a History teacher, and 15 years as HoD. Have a look around and grab a bargain! 😄 Please leave an honest rating on any resources you may buy. 👍

Random card pick generator - all subjects/time saver!

Tired of having to type in the names of pupils into a power point when wanting to pick a random pupil to answer a question etc., and then having to do the whole process again with the names of a different class? With this power point , you have a universal name picker generator! All you need is a pack of cards - share them out amongst the pupils, play the power point slide, press pause, and whichever card is displayed, the pupil with that card will have to answer, or whatever. Saves a lot of time.

Saint David's Day Challenge (form time idea)

A simple resource to promote Saint David’s Day and aspects of Welsh culture/History during form time. This resource includes a Welsh and English version. The idea is to encourage pupils to write their answers on post-it notes. Best to print this resource onto at least A3 and laminate.

THE ULTIMATE Takeaway Homework menu (generic for all subjects) with QR codes

A stylish Takeaway Homework Menu for (almost) all subjects! QR code sheet will take you direct to specific worksheets to enable pupils to produce quality Starters, Mains and Deserts (help with their organisation and communication and IT skills) Starters include: Tweet Your Knowledge Word Search Mains include: What's In A Word? Factor Wheel Deserts include: What's in his/her Head? Fakebook (IT and handwritten version) Biography Poster Report and Cootie Catcher These have proven really successful and popular with my pupils. Colleagues have also used these ideas and value them as they provide pupils with different homework tasks. Adaptable word doc to change the name of the menu etc. I have inserted ?????? to highlight where subject specific words/topics are that need replacing to make the menu more relevant to your department. Remember, it's not just the menu you purchase here, but also access to printable online/downloadable resources (via QR codes). Enjoy!

The Treaty of Versailles: de Bono's Thinking Hats activity

An interesting group activity on the aims and objectives of the Big Three at Versailles. Each group (ideally no more than 3 pupils) represents one of the Big Three. Group members are allocated 2 Thinking Hats (last slide) and have to approach the issue of how to punish Germany from the perspective of their individual (Wilson, Lloyd George or Clemenceau), but also from the specific roles provided by their coloured hats. All required printable sheets are found within the ppt (e.g. slide 3 will need to b cut up into three, slide 9 is the colourless version of the group sheet, but keep the coloured version projected to guide them and slide 10 have the Thinking Hats and need cutting up for the pupils etc.) Was observed for this lesson, and got an excellent as it covered so many bases! Enjoy.

Takeaway History Homework: Generic version for KS3 with QR Codes

This is a generic version of a KS3 Takeaway History Homework menu. I have seen many excellent topic specific examples (e.g. Tudors or Great War etc.), but this can be used as a generic one for all KS3, and will therefore reduce photocopying costs etc. I have also included a QR code sheet for specific rules or worksheets required for specific homework tasks found on the menu. Pupils will need to download a free QR reader onto their phones (if they have compatible ones) from the app store to scan the codes and access these worksheets. The Friars Rating refers to the name of my school, so you can easily adapt the word document and input your own image etc. Enjoy!

7th (or any) Grade Takeaway History Homework Menu with QR codes

Here’s a generic Takeaway History Homework Menu for any Grade, e.g. 7th (you just need to edit the first side). I have seen many excellent takeaway homework ideas, but most are topic specific, so this generic one should cover all grades, and reduce costs. The QR code sheet helps students to access specific rules and worksheets linked to specific menu tasks. Students will need a free QR reader from the app store, email to themselves the sent document, print and off they go! The Friars Rating refers to the name of my school, so it should be easily adaptable if you have your own ideas for rating the difficulty of various tasks. Enjoy!
